Routine appointments
To request a pre-bookable appointment 4 to 6 weeks in advance
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday from 8am and 4pm. We will respond within 2 working days during opening times

Your appointment
However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email.
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
To cancel your appointment:
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
- use your NHS account (on the NHS website or in the NHS app)
- use your Patient Access account (on the Patient Access website)

Extended evening and weekend appointments are available for Trafford patients each weekday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm as part of Trafford Primary Health’s commitment to GP access seven days a week.
Book at reception for an appointment hosted at the AHA ‘hub’: St John’s Medical Centre, Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre, 31-33 Market Street, WA14 1PF.
Appointments with GP or nurse and phlebotomy appointments are available.
This service has been designed to support Trafford patients struggling to secure a doctor’s appointment within practice hours.
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Altrincham General Hospital which has a ‘walk in’ Minor Injuries Unit with minimal waiting times.

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible on 0161 929 1515.
